What to Expect Before and After Morpheus8 Treatment in Denver CO

Most hair removal options should also be avoided within the targeted treatment area, such as waxing, bleaching, tweezing, or depilatory creams, as any of those can lead to increased irritation in the skin.

It is also very important that patients avoid consuming alcohol for a couple of days before any Morpheus8 treatments, as alcohol dehydrates the body and promotes increased bleeding. When preparing for any cosmetic procedure such as this, patients should always prioritize maintaining the health of their skin which includes making sure that it is well hydrated and not irritated wherever possible.

While you will be well notified of all aftercare instructions following your Morpheus8 treatments, there are some standard recommendations that should always be followed in order to achieve the best possible results and to ensure that the skin is able to heal safely and effectively. These recommendations will include avoiding consuming any alcohol, caffeine, excess amounts of sugar or sodium, spicy foods, or tobacco for at least 24 to 48 hours following the treatment. During this time, any topical products should not be applied to the treated area, including makeup and your everyday skincare products, unless otherwise stated by your Morpheus8 provider. Since the treated skin will be fairly sensitive as it heals, it is very important that patients avoid exposing the treated areas to direct sunlight during this time as well, at least until it is once again safe for them to apply high quality SPF to the treated skin.

Activities that cause excessive sweating, such as saunas, hot tubs, and strenuous exercises, should also be avoided for a few days following the treatment. Additionally, patients should avoid wearing perfume, smoking tobacco, and taking non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs for a few days to prevent unnecessary swelling or bruising.

The results provided by a Morpheus8 skin revitalization treatment are effective because the treatments stimulate increased production of collagen and elastin as the skin heals from the procedure. This means that while the results will be longer-lasting and very natural, it will most likely take around 3 months before the skin has healed entirely and the final results have been achieved.
